A way to make new friends, discover new interests, and develop new skills. LACES offers a variety of different clubs ranging from arts and crafts clubs to cultural clubs like BSU (Black Student Union) and APSU (Asian Pacific-Islander Student Union). This year, students are welcoming over 40 new clubs to LACES, LACES clubs fit in a variety of different categories, including, but not limited to cultural clubs, leadership clubs, hobby clubs, community service clubs, health clubs, sports clubs, etc. and with a number of new clubs being created this year, a number of clubs from the previous year are dispersing as well.
Under the cultural/ethnic club category, a new club being offered this year is the Mixedish Student Union, bringing awareness to those of mixed ethnic backgrounds. While some clubs have gained new members, the clubs that aren’t returning didn’t gain as much traction as they might have hoped. Some examples of these clubs include the Sorority Club, Martial Arts Club, and the Everything Club.
LACES’s ability to help and welcome new clubs for students displays their ability to provide a diverse and curious environment regarding students’ hobbies and interests.
A List of all the clubs being offered this school year as well as which of those are new clubs LACES is welcoming and which of them are old clubs students are saying goodbye to can be found below.
