Imagine not having your phone, not being able to go outside the house with the exception of school, or even having a tracking device planted in your tooth. For some of you this might sound unbearable, but for others this might just be the reality. After having many years of experience with being grounded, here are some suggestions if you ever find yourself in this type of situation.Once after getting grounded for two months, instead of being locked up in my house I decided to go on the hunt for things to do. First I thought joining a sports team would be a good idea, but after being on the water polo team for a week I discovered the hatred I have for any sport that involves a ball. Then I found out tennis was in need of a manager. This was a great way to get to learn about a sport you’ve never played, while also learning time management and responsibility. It gets you out of the house and makes your parents be super proud of you because you are doing something productive. Another benefit of managing a sport is that your parents don’t know the schedule of your games, meaning you can say you’re at a game even if there isn’t. There’s no way for your parents to track you since you don’t have your phone. The next thing you should do is butter your parents a little too much up, spend as much time as possible with them. Every free second you have, make sure you are glued to your parents. At first they will enjoy the company but soon they’ll realize they don’t have any free time and maybe even let you outside the house. Another thing you can do is get a trap phone, it could be as old as a flip phone or an iPad. Anything is better than nothing. But make sure you don’t lose, break or expose your trap phone to your parents because all of these things don’t end well. Thank you for reading. All these methods have been tested and perfected.
